My married name is Tia Lewis and my name on the canvas is the Freehand Artist. I've spent most of my career working in corporate settings. As an untrained artist I view my art as a true freedom of expression. Each drawing represents real emotion, a current feeling, an exciting inspiration or surprising revelation. I have enjoyed drawing and painting since I can remember. Recently, I developed what I feel is my own style. It didn't come about by spending the summer in Tuscany, it came about by a necessity...my very basic need to create. My mother purchased canvases for me while she was on vacation. I didn't have anymore paint in my house because I go through paint like my 4 and 5 year old go through fruit snacks. I just can't stop! However, I couldn't bear to keep staring at those blank canvases, so I did what I needed to do. I took out a marker and drew the very first line which would come to be my signature style. The very first line I draw on each canvas sets the tone. Each drawing forms naturally as if the lines were faintly penciled in for me to follow. My art has evolved through growth of myself as a person, woman, mother and wife. I am The Freehand Artist and this is me. I hope you enjoy it!
